Hotel und Restaurant Bergfried in Waldenburg

We were there before Corona. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and the view was wonderful. We hope that times will change soon and that we can go out to eat there again.

Very cozy restaurant. Fantastic dishes. Nice terrace. Absolutely nice staff. My favorite food is rump steak with pepper sauce + a view of the Hohenlohe plain. Top in all of Waldenburg! Very satisfied. Correctly recommended. 😉

Good food, friendly staff and a great view

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days in the beautiful Bergfried Hotel and we are absolutely thrilled. The view from the Infinity Pool is indescribable, whether in summer or winter. We look forward to coming again! :-)

Everything wonderful, against definitely going back :)

There were four of us on Tuesday evening for dinner, which was plentiful and very good with reasonable prices! Very recommendable!

So .. It's finally time to rate this restaurant and give it the highest possible praise! This was not my first visit and it will definitely not be my last. Special praise goes straight to the kitchen. I don't know how they get the schnitzel on point every time. The schnitzel is juicy, tender, wonderfully prompted, just a dream. Even the fries are very good. Nice and crispy on the outside, nice and fluffy on the inside. (I basically rate restaurants badly that don't even get chips. But that's exactly the opposite!) My colleague had ordered asparagus and kindly there was a small pot of Hollandaise sauce with it. Actually, I just wanted to try the sauce, but the taste and consistency were so convincing that the sauce didn't last long. A perfect meal! The service is excellent as always. Questions are answered very well. You can already feel that the customer is of particular importance here and accordingly you are well served. If you don't know what to do next, the service can always recommend something good. On and on! It looks like the outdoor area will also be redone, because we sat outside while we ate and could watch the employees at work.

Historic building with great ambience and good food

The hotel or restaurant is located on the main street and has 6 own, narrow parking spaces and is not barrier-free. Overall, the parking situation is difficult in the entire old town center. The own restaurant is one of the three addresses that are recommended for eating. The pizzeria around the corner is definitely not one of them. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. If so, this will be done as desired or taken care of. The back room was quiet, good, and spacious. The shower room inside was mold-free and clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Our one week stay was pleasant and we will choose this hotel again on our next visit.
